Hazak

Sometimes called "USY for the young-at-heart," Hazak is USCJ's senior social group for adults aged 55+. Hazak means "strong" and we gather strength from the community we form in each other's company.

Join us for our many and varied activities. In addition to the special Hazak events listed below, you'll often find our members at Adult Education programs, as well as in Sisterhood, Men's Club, and other OT groups.

Events

Parade at Ford’s Theater, Sunday, October 2, 2:00pm. The Tony Award-winning musical drama Parade features the true story of Leo Frank’s trial and lynching in early 20th-century Atlanta. Parade is a co-production with Theater J and is presented in association with the Anti-Defamation League and Jewish Historical Society of Greater Washington. Cost: $45. (Optional dinner at a local restaurant after the performance, not included in ticket price.) Your check payable to Olam Tikvah is your reservation. Limited amount of tickets available. Questions: Leona Shoon (703) 425-1880 or lshoon@olamtikvah.org.

Lunch in the Sukkah, Monday, October 17, 11:30am. Join us for a little fressen (by Leona Shoon), schmoozing with your friends and rabbis, and maybe a little study as well. RSVP to Leona by October 6. No charge for lunch.
