5771 High Holy Days 2010
plus Sukkot and Simchat Torah
 |
Elul, the month preceding the High Holy Days, is traditionally set aside for reflection. Now in its
6th year of publication,
Jewels of Elul is a collection of stories, musings and anecdotes.
On each of the 29 days of Elul, the Jewels of Elul web site will post an inspirational 'Jewel'
from an amazing group of individuals. We hope you will join us in reflecting, and in sharing the inspiration.

New Machzorim
With the help of Sisterhood, Men’s Club and the donations to the Passamaneck Prayer Book Fund we were able to purchase
The New Rabbinical Assembly Machzor - Machzor Lev Shalem. A majority of the costs were covered by the donations.
We ask for your help to defray the rest by making a $25.00 contribution. For
each donation, a machzor will be dedicated with a personalized book plate.
Please return the donation form
to the office by August 16.
ServicesWith the completion of our
new social hall and youth wing, we've changing our format:
-
The services for the first day of Rosh Hashanah and for Yom Kippur will begin at 9:00am in the sanctuary and 10:00am in the social hall, both ending at approximately the same time.
-
Rabbi Kalender and Rabbi Paskind will teach at both of the services throughout the morning. Please choose which service you would like to attend.
-
Only one service will be held on the second day of Rosh
Hashanah. It will be in the sanctuary as usual.
-
There will be several children’s services for ages pre-school through sixth grade
throughout the holidays.
-
Tickets will be mailed in late August. They will not designate service locations.
-
We continue to use the JCCNV parking lot for extra
space. Buses will run continuously throughout services between the
JCCNV and OT. See your mailing for more information.
