Anim Zemirot

Anim Zemirot is a hymn sung in the main Sanctuary at the end of the Shabbat Musaf service.  It is led by a child and chanted responsively with the congregation. Children who are between fourth grade and age 13 (until the day of their b'nai mitzvah) may lead Anim Zemirot. Our Ritual Committee maintains a list of capable children who can step up to the bimah each week to lead this hymn. When it is sung, the leader chants the first line of each pair of verses and the congregation responds with the second.  Students who want to learn the tune can download the MP3 files below.  Please contact one of the rabbis or a religious committee co-chair with any questions.

Children who want to practice Anim Zemirot can find the text on pages 185 and 186 of Siddur Sim Shalom
