Sifreinu
All Olam Tikvah families are invited to participate in celebrating Jewish literature through a new family education program
called Sifreinu, which means “our books.” The program will guide families towards great age-appropriate Jewish books, and bring those families together to share their experience with these books with one another.
One book has been selected for each grade from kindergarten through seventh grade. Students and their parents are asked to read the selected book together. Families
may do this in whatever way they choose; reading the book aloud or parents and children reading it independently.
Books will be available for purchase from the OT Sisterhood Judaica
Shop. We will also have a limited number of each title available to
borrow from the OTRS office.
OT invites families to join together for a book discussion focused on the theme of the book, the characters, and how the story affects both adult and student readers.
The book discussions will take place on Sundays throughout the school year, from 11:00am-12:00pm.
Below you will find each grade’s assigned selections and the dates of their book discussions.
A reminder email will be sent about two weeks before your designated book discussion.
