Preschool Director Search
We are seeking a part-time Preschool Director to help strengthen our educational program and create experiences for our youngest learners and their families. Compensation is based on experience. Position start date is June 2019. Please contact Talya Schultz at email@example.com to apply.
Supporting the curriculum based in Jewish values
Communicating with parents, including a weekly newsletter
Supervising and hiring staff
Budgeting and expense reporting
Assembling the school calendar and scheduling events
Collaborating with board members on special events and other duties
Recruiting new families and giving tours to prospective families
Meeting state licensing requirements
Preparing monthly staff meetings
Supervising “Baby and Me” program
Supporting the camp director during the summer
Arranging facility maintenance
Attending meetings of the Early Childhood Directors Council
Time requirements outside of school hours:
Monthly evening board meetings
Special events (2-3 times a year)
Sending out notices, such as school closings due to weather
Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
A minimum of three (3) years of experience in Early Childhood Education
Strong desire to help children discover, understand, and flourish in the world we inhabit
Excellent organization, time management, and communication skills
Basic Judaic knowledge
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
Able to work with teachers, parents, and synagogue staff
