Hypothermia at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church on Christmas Day

Sunday, December 24, 4pm - Monday, December 25, 10:00am. We will be spending the day with people who are homeless ( guests of the church) at the Prince of Peace Letheran Church.

4pm - 7pm preparing for Christmas Eve dinner, serving  dinner, cleaning up

7:00pm- 10:00pm - Socialize with guests

10:00pm - 2:00am- Overnight Stay

2am - 7am - Overnight Stay

6:00am - 10:00am  - Breakfast preparation, serving and clean-up

Christmas Meal's on Wheels

Monday, December 25.  We will be taking the place of normally scheduled Meal's on Wheels Volunteers so that they can enjoy Christmas with their families. If you can help deliver meals, please contact Clare Bachner .

Katherine Hanley Family Shelter

Monday, December 25. We will be serving Christmas Breakfast at the Katherine Hanley Family Shelter and need O.T. volunteers to prepare food in advance for this breakfast. If you are interested in preparing food for this occasion, please contact Mimi Krauss .

We will be collecting new stuffed animals for the kids in the shelter. Please to them to the office by December 18th.

 

Shoeboxes for So Others May Eat ( S.O.M.E.)

This activity provides Christmas "gifts" to the homeless. SOME will deliver these gifts on Christmas Day. Please decorate a shoebox with Christmas paper and label each box with MAN, WOMAN or CHILD and fill it with the following:

MEN'S and WOMEN'S BOXES:  hat, scarf, pair of gloves, pair of socks, large or extra large underwear, deodorant, razor, soap, shampoo, toothbrush and toothpaste.

CHILDREN: toy or game, a hat, scarf, pair of gloves, socks, and a pair of underwear. Label it for a boy or girl.

Please bring these shoeboxes to the office by December 20th.
