November Community Jewish Book Drive
November 1-26. Berman Hebrew Academy will be collecting any unwanted Jewish books/paper/sheimos for the entire month of November during school hours. Click for the flyer for this monumental initiative, which is cosponsored by the Washington Board of Rabbis, Federation and the Garden of Remembrance Cemetery. They need a few volunteers to come and help sort books for recyc
le/resale/burial. Please sign up on this spreadsheet for a day or more than you could come and assist for at least 1-2 hours (or more!).
Olam Tikvah will be collecting books as well for this initiative. Drop off unwanted Jewish/Hebrew books in the office. We are also looking for people to take the books up to Rockville. Please contact the office if you would like to volunteer.
Books can also be dropped off directly at Berman during school hours Monday-Friday 8am-4pm. Donations are collected in the lobby that is at the front entrance to the building.
