Youth
Youth
Social, cultural, and volunteer programs are an important part of our non-school youth activities. Congregation Olam Tikvah is proud to have an active population of youths, and we offer a wide variety of programs to engage elementary age children through high schoolers.
Youth Groups
Shabbat Morning
Many OT teens lead services and read Torah and/or Haftarah throughout the year!
Yad Award
Teens who read a minimum of 18 Torah aliyot by the time they graduate high school are recognized by the congregation with the Yad Award and presented with a unique hand-crafted yad.
Babysitting
OT teens (7th grade and older) are welcome to join our Shabbat babysitting team to help make Shabbat fun for our youngest members! Contact Debra Beland Ackerman at dbeland@olamtikvah.org to sign up.
Experience Israel
Olam Tikvah’s Experience Israel Program provides an incentive for all teens to take an in-depth trip to Israel during or immediately following their high school years. To learn more about the program and apply for a subsidy, download the FAQ and application.
