OT Film Discussion, December 20, 4:30pm on Zoom

OT’s Adult Education and Social Action Committees, Sisterhood and Men’s Club, invite you to watch the film, Shared Legacies: The African American-Jewish Civil Rights Alliance, during the JxJ Festival anytime from December 3-10 and then join Olam Tikvah’s virtual discussion of the film on Sunday, December 20, at 4:30pm. The movie is only available to watch from December 3-10, and can be watched anytime, at your leisure, as part of the Festival. You can get your tickets for Shared Legacies here: https://www.jxjdc.org/events/shared-legacies/

OT’s virtual discussion of Shared Legacies on December 20 will be moderated by Dr. Marc Dollinger, the Chair of Jewish Studies and Social Responsibility at San Francisco State University. In his recent book, Black Power, Jewish Politics: Reinventing the Alliance in the 60s, Dr. Dollinger examines the history of Jewish involvement in the Civil Rights era and Jewish motivations for engaging in social justice. Dr. Dollinger is also a member of the panel that will be discussing the film as part of the JxJ Festival.

We hope you will make time to watch the movie and come to this important discussion! Register below to receive the Zoom link for OT's film discussion.
