Kol Nidre Appeal 5786

The yamim noraim (High Holidays) are a time of reflection and anticipation as we turn the page to 5786. Over the coming year, Olam Tikvah will embark on an exciting adventure exploring how we tell our stories as People of the Book. This will be an opportunity to grow our community through the type of rich programming that has defined Olam Tikvah for 62 years. It will also empower each of us to continue to write our own Jewish story.

Such rich programming depends on the continued generosity of members like you. In a typical year, dues and tuition cover a bit more than 70% of our operating budget. Congregational donations provide 30% of our resources. Financially supporting Olam Tikvah through the Kol Nidre Appeal and other fundraising opportunities throughout the year is essential to our ability to invest in current and future generations.

Here is how the Kol Nidre Appeal works at Olam Tikvah:

  • Everyone receives this letter by mail.
  • If you regularly receive email from Olam Tikvah, you will also receive an email that includes a link to make your donation online.
    • NOTE: You can participate by donating through the link provided in the email, contacting the office, or by mailing in a check.
    • Over the next two months, members of the Olam Tikvah Board of Directors will also reach out to every household with a Shana Tova greeting. If you prefer to make your Kol Nidre Appeal pledge during this call and have the office bill your account, feel free to do so.

Please consider making a meaningful gift at this time of year. Whether you can give $54, $10,054, or somewhere in between, your donation will support programming, activities, and worship that ensure our lives remain filled with Jewish meaning.

What will be Olam Tikvah’s story in 5786? I anticipate a year of learning and growth in which we continue to strengthen our bonds as a community. The High Holidays are the time to begin this important work together—to inscribe ourselves in the Book of Life.

On behalf of Olam Tikvah’s Board of Directors and my own family, I wish you shana tova umetukah, a good and sweet 5786!

Please note that a 2.5% surcharge will be added to all credit card transactions. To pay by ACH/E-Check or bill to your account and pay by check (no surcharge), you must log in first.
