Join Men's Club at Stribling Orchard for apple picking and at Trumbo Hollow Hike Trailhead for a nature hike.

We will meet at 11:00am at Stribling Orchard (11587 Poverty Hollow Ln, Markham, VA 22643) to pick your own apples for Rosh Hashanah and BYO picnic lunch to eat with the group. Take I-66 West to Exit 18, Markham. At the bottom of the exit ramp, turn left onto Route 688 South. At the stop sign, go straight across Route 55. At the next stop sign, turn right following Route 688. Go across the railroad tracks. The orchard is the first driveway on the left. (Look for signs). 50 minutes from OT. No parking or entrance fees. Just pay for what you pick or buy at their store. Perfect for families with young children.

Those who want to hike part of the Appalachian Trail can meet at 1:00 PM at the Trumbo Hollow Hike Trailhead parking area, 1.5 miles west of Stribling Orchard along Route 55. We will hike a mile or so in either direction along the trail, and then turn around and come back to the parking area. This short hike is also suited to families with active children.

There are several Vineyards/Wineries nearby in case folks want to skip the orchard or the hike.

Use this beautiful time of year to notice the natural world around you as we prepare for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. Take a walk with your friends and family, clear your head, and breathe in the fresh air. Take a hike and get a new vantage.
