RACISM AND SYSTEMIC BIAS: A Four-Session Workshop Series

Session 1: UNDERSTANDING SYSTEMIC RACISM

The streets are talking. Are we listening? The Interfaith Communities for Dialogue (ICD) is excited to invite you to this series of virtual workshops. Racism is all around us and within us. Where does it come from? How does it affect you and all of us as a community? Knowledge is power. Ask questions. Express your views. Let’s learn together.

Through engaging allegories and memorable mental images, acclaimed speaker Camara Jones leads us to an understanding of the definition of racism, the levels at which it operates, and the elements of decision-making at a policy level. Don’t miss this exciting speaker.

SPEAKER: Camara Phyllis Jones, MD, MPH, PhD, a family physician, epidemiologist, and Past President of the American Public Health Association. Compelling speaker on race and racism.
