Israel at War: A look back 50 years ago to the Yom Kippur War

The Yom Kippur War, which occurred 50 years ago, was a very different war from the one fought by Israel and its neighbors just six years before. It was a war influenced by new technology and related tactics, fog of war, and politics influenced by two world superpowers that nearly erupted into a global war. Marc Herwitz will take us through what was going on at the time in Israel, Egypt and Syria leading up to the war. He will provide a review of the war and focus on a number of its campaign and operations and explain how Israel rebounded from significant early losses.
