Volunteer to remove invasive species at Oakton Community Park and help repair the local ecosystem, organized by the OT Green Initiative.

Maximum 30 participants. Minimum age is 11; children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

What to bring

1. Wear long pants, long-sleeved shirt and sturdy boots. 
2. Bring comfortable, heavy work gloves. Some invasive species may have thorns, and we want to protect your hands!
3. Do not wear perfumes, colognes or smelly aftershaves. They will attract biting insects.
4. To reduce waste, you are encouraged to bring a reusable water bottle.
5. All other tools will be provided.
