Volunteer to help Holocaust survivors in our community! The Olam Tikvah Social Action Committee has partnered with JSSA's annual Passover food program to deliver Passover food to Holocaust survivors in Northern Virginia.

Volunteer drivers will pick up food at Olam Tikvah on Sunday, March 21, at 11:00am, along with addresses and directions to deliver non-perishable food bags, each weighing about 10 lbs. The recipients will know to expect a delivery that day. Many of the recipients live in apartments which would require taking elevators. Also, as the recipients are our cherished Holocaust survivors, they are elderly, and might need help getting the bag of food from their door into their home. You’ll need a mask and gloves for this project.

The addresses are in: Springfield (1), Manassas (1), Reston (7), Arlington (12), Vienna (6), Alexandria (3), McLean (4), Fairfax (3), Falls Church (3), and Herndon (5). We anticipate giving volunteers about 4 bags to deliver in a similar area. We have about 45-50 deliveries to make, so the more volunteers, the fewer stops each person will need to make.
