Sewing Machines for Afghan Families, donate September 11-17 in the OT office.

The Afghan refugees have been here for almost a year now and they are settling into their circumstances. There is an ongoing effort to collect used sewing machines so that the women can create the modest clothing they favor and save money as well. Olam Tikvah is collecting gently used sewing machines which may not be getting much use in your home anymore. The used machines need to be in working order - the refugees do not have the ability to get them repaired.

If you have a usable machine, please email Martha Hill and bring it to the Olam Tikvah office. If you do not own a sewing machine but would still like to help out, you can make a monetary donation below to OT's Social Action Fund for Afghan Outreach to purchase new sewing machines.
