Tea and Trivia with a Jewish Twist
Sunday, May 15, 3:00-5:00pm in-person at OT
Free of Charge!
Now that we have finished Ma Nishtana, and are in the midst of counting the Omer, it’s time to ask ourselves some other important and fun (of course!) questions. Join us for Tea and Trivia with a Jewish Twist on Sunday, May 15 from 3-5pm in the OT pergola (social hall if the weather doesn't cooperate). We will offer a beautiful selection of teas (and coffee for non-tea drinkers) and desserts, and an amazing social and educational program to match!
The trivia will be led by Beth Frame, a local trivia aficionado who is widely known in Jewish circles and larger Northern Virginia community for her trivia fundraisers as well as Monday night trivia at a local cafe. Whether you like all kinds of trivia from history, sports, music, to Jewish topics; appreciate good tea; or just love spending time with friends and making new ones, we guarantee you will enjoy this event!
We will collect some most-needed items for the Katherine Hanley Family Shelter. Please bring any of the following: Size 6 diapers; Pull Ups (3T-5T sizes); Baby Wipes; Laundry Detergent Powder
To request a ride to the event, please contact Annie Schwartz.
Please RSVP below. All ages are welcome from 12 -120! Masks are optional.

The Fast of the Firstborn (Ta’anit Bechorim) commemorates the horrific tenth plague that God inflicted on Pharaoh and the Egyptian people. In recognition of this moment, firstborn Jews fast on Erev Pesach. As this is a minor fast, there is a widely practiced exemption: Judaism allows anyone who attends a religious feast to forego fasting. It is customary to hold a celebratory meal on the completion of study of a piece of text, called a siyyum (conclusion). Whether you are a firstborn relieving yourself from the pre-Pesach fast, or anyone else simply looking to learn a little, come join us for the siyyum. After the siyyum, we will celebrate with a light breakfast. -
