1:00 PMOrder delicious desserts and challah from Sunflower Bakery and pick it up at Olam Tikvah on Thursday, August 12. Conveniently coordinated with our August Moti's delivery, so you can get all your kosher food at once.
Orders must be placed by Tuesday, August 10 at 1:00pm via the Sunflower Bakery website. Note there is no delivery fee and no minimum order needed!
- Go to www.sunflowerbakery.org/shop/.
- Sunflower suggests that you do not order anything that is a dough product to bake (listed under cookie dough on the site).
- Orders need to be placed directly with Sunflower Bakery via their website before 1:00pm on Tuesday, August 10.
- Orders can be any dollar amount. They can be under $35 and still be delivered (there is a note on the pickup location page that indicates you must have $35 minimum - IGNORE THAT)
- At checkout, under Pickup or Delivery, choose Special Pickup Locations and select 8/12 Olam Tikvah in the dropdown menu.
- If you have any trouble with the order, please email janis@sunflowerbakery.org
Your order will be available for pickup in the Olam Tikvah office on Thursday, August 12 between 1:00-4:30pm. If you prefer not to enter the building, pull up in front of the building, call the office, and we will put your order in your trunk.

The Fast of the Firstborn (Ta’anit Bechorim) commemorates the horrific tenth plague that God inflicted on Pharaoh and the Egyptian people. In recognition of this moment, firstborn Jews fast on Erev Pesach. As this is a minor fast, there is a widely practiced exemption: Judaism allows anyone who attends a religious feast to forego fasting. It is customary to hold a celebratory meal on the completion of study of a piece of text, called a siyyum (conclusion). Whether you are a firstborn relieving yourself from the pre-Pesach fast, or anyone else simply looking to learn a little, come join us for the siyyum. After the siyyum, we will celebrate with a light breakfast. -
