Historian Joshua D. Rothman presents his new book, The Ledger and the Chain, about the shocking story of the domestic slave trade. Olam Tikvah has sponsored a proposal for a historical marker on Little River Turnpike to memorialize the enslaved people that were taken in the 1800s along that route between Alexandria and Fairfax. This marker was also sponsored by other religious and secular organizations, including the Pozez JCCNV, Interfaith Communities for Dialogue (ICD), Communities of Trust, and the Fairfax NAACP.
