Girl Scouts
Girl Scouts
Kindergarten through eighth grade girls are invited to join Olam Tikvah Girl Scout Troop #1250. The troop currently includes Daisies, Brownies and Juniors. New girls are always welcome to join at any time during the school year. Being a Girl Scout in Troop #1250 is a great way to have fun, make friends, and participate in activities that will have a positive impact on your daughter's life in a Jewish setting.
All groups participate in age level appropriate activities that earn badges, share through community service, create art and make crafts and go hiking and camping. It's a great way to try out new activities, experience nature and explore our world and community. Girl Scouts endeavor to have fun and make the world a better place at the same time.
Meetings generally occur twice monthly, approximately 12:00-2:00pm at Olam Tikvah or offsite locations October-May. Girls are welcome to join whether or not they are Olam Tikvah members.
For more information and to join our troop and to get on our summer gathering information list, please contact Troop Leaders Judith and Elisabeth at OTTroop1250@gmail.com.

Greek philosophy has strongly influenced our understanding of the concepts of “body” and “soul,” suggesting they are two separate entities. But what do Jewish texts say about what ultimately makes us human? What are Jewish attitudes towards our physical beings, and what does our tradition think of the “soul,” assuming it even exists? -
