Yizkor Donation
Yizkor Memorial Booklet
Oh Lord, what is that that Thou takest knowledge of him?
Or the son of man that Thou dost regard him?
Man is like unto a breath;
His days are as a shadow that passes away.
With these words, we begin the Yizkor service on the holiest day of the year, Yom Kippur. Recalling the deceased during this service is an act of solemn piety and an expression of profound respect. The Yizkor service is based on the Jewish belief that the living, by acts of goodness, can redeem the dead. The formal expression of acts of piety includes prayer to God and contributions to charity.
It is customary to make a contribution - a material demonstration of kindness - in conjunction with the Yizkor service. Please honor the memory of your loved ones by making a generous gift.
Yizkor Book verification forms were mailed out. If you did not receive a form, please contact Melissa Benson.
