Monday evening, May 13, we will mark Yom HaZikaron as well as Yom HaAtzmaut, two Israeli holidays that are fundamentally intertwined with each other. With guidance from Shy Ashkenazi, a talented experiential Israel educator, we will mourn and remember the devastating losses of this past year, as well look ahead to the future with hope as we celebrate Israel's birthday. Through song, poetry, prayer and conversation, we will come together to go from evel (mourning) to yom tov (celebration).

Gather each Wednesday morning to discuss the first Jewish law code. Join this lively group as we consider this core text for Jewish ethics, ritual, and theology. No prior knowledge necessary and the English translation is provided. In 5784/2023-24 we will continue studying Pirkei Avot (The Ethics of Our Ancestors), beginning with Chapter 3. Connect with other Jewish families at this free, informal gathering of children ages 0-3 with a caregiver, as we play and dance. Open to the entire community, facilitated by the Olam Tikvah Preschool.

Shabbat mornings offer a wealth of worship and learning opportunities for all ages. We hold one congregational service, beginning at 9:30am. Men and women of all ages - from age 13 through grandparents - lead portions of the service, receive aliyot, and read Torah. It's not unusual for younger children, below b'nei mitzvah age, to lead the chanting of specific prayers. Youth childcare and services begin in our youth wing at 10:00am for ages 18 months-6th grade. The congregation always enjoys lunch together following the service.

Saturdays beginning at 10:00am, children ages 18 months-6th grade may be dropped off in the youth wing for childcare, followed by youth services. Details at https://www.olamtikvah.org/services#youth-shabbat
