Sunday morning Shacharit

Each Sunday at 12:30pm, from May-October, a group of volunteer gleaners from Olam Tikvah meets at the West End Farmers’ Market at Cameron Station (4800 Brenman Park Dr, in Alexandria) to pack up fresh produce and deliver it to residents of local shelters. It's impossible to know exactly how many thousands of pounds of food we deliver each year to people who don’t often have access to fresh fruits and vegetables, but it is a lot. It's hard to think of a more important mitzvah than providing food to people who are without. Gleaners usually commit to gleaning once or twice a month.
