Fast of the Firstborn Siyyum
Thursday, March 25, 2021 • 12 Nisan 5781
8:00 AM - 11:00 AMZoomIn commemoration of the horrific tenth plague, first-born Jews fast, normally on Erev Pesach. When Passover begins on a Saturday night though, as it does this year, the fast gets pushed back to Thursday. As this is a minor fast, there is a widely practiced exemption: Judaism allows for anyone who attends a religious feast to forego fasting. It is customary to hold a celebratory meal on the completion of study of a piece of text, called a siyyum (conclusion). We invite you to participate in the Rabbinical Assembly's virtual siyyum on Thursday, March 25 at 8:00am or 10:30am. Register here.
