Joyous Coronation: the Piyut “V’yeetayu” in High Holiday Tfilot
Wednesday, September 13, 2023 • 27 Elul 5783
7:15 PM - 8:00 PMLibraryJoin Rabbi Bedo for an exploration of how piyutim (liturgical poems) appear in our machzor (High Holiday prayer book), with a closer look at “V’yeetayu” (also known as “Keter Melukha”), which appears in both Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur musaf. Our learning will include some singing (and dancing?) in the end.
This is the first in our two-part machzor series. On September 20, Rabbi Kalender will teach. Sign up for one or both classes below.
