Olam Tikvah is excited to share that we are welcoming a new Sefer Torah to our community! This Sefer Torah is being written for us by Zerach Greenfield, a sofer (scribe) based in Israel, and we have the sacred opportunity to play a part in the Sefer Torah's completion here in our own Sanctuary. On Sunday, May 11, the sofer will join us at 10:30am* to teach us a little about himself, his work, and explain how a Torah is created. Then a few members of our community, who have been chosen to represent all of us, will write the last few words of our Sefer Torah!

We will dedicate the completed Sefer Torah, which has been donated by Azizeh Hatami in memory of Ebrahim and Alex Hatami, during Shabbat morning services on May 24.
