Our interfaith Power Pack with Lord of Life Church has been postponed due to COVID-19.

If you are looking for ways to support those in need in our community during this difficult time, please consider a donation to Food For Others. We partner year-round with Food For Others on the Power Pack Program (P3), which provides elementary school-aged students in our area with a pack of food that they can bring home to eat over the weekend. In light of school closures, Food For Others is stepping up its P3 donations to local schools to help feed food insecure children who rely on school breakfasts, lunches and snacks for their meals each day.

The best way to support P3 is to order foods from Amazon, Walmart, Whole Foods, or any other direct deliverer service for delivery to Food For Others. Food For Others is accepting the following food donations for families in need throughout the region. These donations can be sent to: Food For Others, 2938 Prosperity Avenue, Fairfax, VA 22031.

• canned chili
• canned tomato products (crushed, peeled, diced; 4 oz-1 lb)
• canned meat (chicken, beef, turkey or seafood, 2 oz-15 oz). Canned chicken is the most requested
• rice (16 oz packages)
• spaghetti sauce (14 oz-1 lb; cans not glass)
• canned fruit (packed in fruit juice not syrup; 11 oz-20 oz)
• dried or canned beans (black, kidney, pinto)
• canned pasta
• 100% fruit juice (32 oz or 64 oz)

The foods needed for P3 to support our ongoing partnership with Annandale Terrace Elementary School can be sent to Food For Others, Attn: Nikki Clifford, 2938 Prosperity Avenue, Fairfax, VA 22031. Please send individual servings of any of the following:

• macaroni and cheese cups individual servings
• Chef Boyardee individual meals
• shelf stable milk (no cans)
• 100% fruit juice (individual servings)
